The main objectives in the offering of Occupational Health Services

  • To ensure the client’s compliance with all the legal requirements and guidelines as stipulated in
    • Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Disease Act, (COIDA),
    • Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), or
    • Any other act, guidelines, code of good practice, recommendations, company policy and standards that may be applicable, expected or required.
  • To provide assessments and identify employee exposure to occupational health hazards for their specific occupation with reference to national and international recognised monitoring standards,
  • To assist the employer to define the requirements for health assessments and to detect any adverse health effects on current & future employees or contractors,
  • To assist the organisation to establish & implement systems, plans and programs to identify analyse, evaluate & treat risks and hazards as far as reasonably practical.
  • To enhance the health and wellbeing of employees, contractors and the organisation.

Quality of service

  • Health Assessments and the relevant Medical Surveillance programmes are conducted as specified in the Mining Health and Safety Act of 1996,
  • The health assessments undertaken are job specific, risk based, appropriate to the potential hazards.
  • Privacy and Confidentiality protection standards are used to manage the provision, recording and reporting of the employee & contractor‘s health information.
  • Physiological, psychological and sociological impacts are considered with regards to sick absences and the assessments thereof,
  • Suitable, qualified professionals and associates are contracted to deliver and provide the health care and emergency services.
